In 1928 Allied Van Lines was founded as a non-profit organization, following a recommendation by the National Furniture Warehousemen's Association (NFWA), to assist independent movers so that they could perform more return loads and expand their services to a greater area. In 1933, the Knickerbocker Storage & Warehouse became an Allied Van Lines agent. The Knickerbocker Storage & Warehouse was founded in Akron, Ohio in 1907. |
