DescriptionA scene on the west side of Main St. between Market and Mill streets in the days of the old Pennsylvania Canal that passed through Main Street. Here Mr. Moody had a blacksmith shop on the site of the second O'Neil store. Moody was one of the early blacksmiths of the town of Akron. W.J. Coney may be seen looking out of the upstairs window of his cabinet and furniture repair shop. A Mr. King is seen standing at the extreme right, he was proprietor of the wagon shop in front of which he is standing. In the rear may be seen the old Wagner & Brouse store on old Howard Street, on the second floor of this store building was the historic Seiberling Mall.
