DescriptionCentral Fire Station was located on the corner of South High and Church Street. Their equipment included: one second size Ahrens Steamer, one two-horse hose carriage, one two-horse hook and ladder truck, and 1,200 feet of the best quality white anchor hose. A drwing based on this image appears on page 349 of Samuel Lane's Fifty Years and over of Akron and Summit County.
