fills new post
Roger S. Firestone, relieved from active duty in the navy on Oct. 15, has been named manager
of the new products department of the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co., it was announced by John
W. Thomas, chairman.
Former president of the Firestone Rubber & Latex Products Co., Fall River, Mass., Firestone
in his new capacity will have charge of all research and development involving new products to be manufactured by the firm.
Firestone, youngest of the five sons of the late Harvey S. Firestone, is a director of the
tire company formed by his father. He enlisted in the navy in March, 1942, and served three
and one-half years with the rank of lieutenant commander. |
