| Transcript | My grandfather Charles Edward Tarleton was killed on the Doodlebug on that tragic day in turn leaving my father Harry E. Tarleton & his brothers Charles Jr., Robert, and sisters Violet & Bertha without a parent as their mother had died three years early giving birth. Had been a very tragic event that impacted generations. My father rarely spoke about it as he wasn't 13 yet. Even to his death at 66 it was very hard for him. Gaylord Edward Tarleton |
