| Description | Men and women walking around the Doodlebug Memorial Garden on Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on the day of its dedication, 65 years after the disaster. This project began as a homework assignment for 7th graders at Sill Middle School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. One group of those 7th graders saw their homework assingment become a reality. They raised enough money to commission the monument and garden on land donated by the City. The Doodlebug Memorial Garden won the 2005 Keep American Beautiful's National Award. |
