TitleInventure Place
Dateca. 1995
DescriptionInventure Place, the National Inventors Hall of Fame, opened on July 23, 1995. It featured 135 inductee plaques, over 50 interactive exhibits, and a "Make It Area" where visitors could create their own inventions. Inventure Place closed in April 2008 due to declining attendance. The National Inventors Hall of Fame moved to a smaller space, Canal Place, on South Main Street. The original building on South Broadway Street was turned over to Akron Public Schools. They are in the process of converting it into a new Akron middle school that will focus on math, science and engineering.
