DescriptionThis is an 1858 view of the west side of Howard Street looking south from Market to Stone Mill Barn. On the corner is the store opened by Philander D. Hall (1806-1896) in 1835. The area served as Akron Ohio's central business district for a time and was known as Hall's Corner for nearly a hundred years.
