| Description | Staircase in the Samuel F. Ziliox House. The Samuel F. Ziliox House, located at 47 South Wheaton Road, is a Free English Manorial style home designed by Ernest Clay. Mr. Ziliox was president and general manager of the Commercial Printing and Lithographing Company, which he established with business associates, Fred A. Lane and John P. Brennan. Mr. Ziliox's also had various civic accomplishments. He was the first president of the Akron City club and the fourth president of the Akron City Chamber of Commerce. He aided in the organization of the Morris Bank and served as the president of what is now referred to as the Akron Children's Medical Center. He married Mrs. Kathryn R. Aydelotte, his childhood sweetheart in 1904. |
