The Hudson Players Guild, a local theater group, was created in the late 1920s and was the precursor to the modern Hudson Players. The Guild performed plays in Western Reserve Academy's Chapel to benefit Hudson Primary School. The Guild disbanded in the 1930s. The modern Hudson Players were founded in 1945. The Hudson Players Guild performed The Importance of Being Earnest in 1932. Mrs. Rowens Simon was the director. Pictured left to right: (front row) Fred Ray, Russell H.
