Photograph of the Whipple home, which was located at 227 Broad Boulevard in Cuyahoga Falls. The home was built by Josiah Brown, a prominent businessman in Cuyahoga Falls, in 1836 and it was occupied by C. Horton Whipple and his wife, Byrdana who sold hand-knit items out of her home. Their daughter, Carol Whipple worked to keep the house from being demolished, hoping that it would become a museum, but was ultimately was unsuccessful; the home was demolished in 1999 after Carol's death. The site is now the parking lot for the Cuyahoga Falls library.
